A Craftsman home can be recognized by their dominating roofs and single story appearance. The Craftsman home is centered and low to the ground. These bungalows have many windows for ventilation and light. They also present a stylish picture with a prominent front porch, with tapered square columns resting on massive piers. Sometimes they also have roof rafters that are exposed and open eaves, which are available at sears. The most common materials used are brick, stone, shingles, and stucco. The detailing of the wood artistry is reserved for the entry, living room, and dining room. A 1940 Craftsman bungalow photograph is one such example. The Craftsman house is always related to the site it is built in. Built primarily by the middle class, the Craftsman house is built keeping in mind geographical advantages. If yours is a plot, building a classic home that’s going to be part of an heirloom isn’t going to be difficult.
